Fourth week!

Beginning of the week information:

We have popcorn days on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Popcorn is $2, and they appreciate exact change.

Our annual Terry Fox Run is on Friday. The weather forecast is looking gloomy and chilly, so please dress warmly and dryly on the day. We expect to be running 11:00-11:30. We are collecting Toonies for Terry all week, with the goal to raise $600 as a school. If you are sending money on popcorn days, please label if possible as some student will be confused by what money is for which event.

Ask me about our Science experiment! We tried to fool our brains by soaking our hands in cold and hot water, then putting both in lukewarm water. The effect is a little like going swimming in the pool, then moving to the hot tub, then back to the pool. Our bodies experience the pool much cooler than before. It was an interesting effect!

Math: This week we are counting and practicing numbers to 20!

Literacy: We are continuing to work on personal narratives and stories about ourselves in writing. In reading, we are building stamina as we read to self and read with others.

Science: More hot and cold experiments, and we are learning how to use a thermometer.

Social Studies: We have expanded our view and are looking at maps of the world! Some of us were born in different places and we are finding them.

Here's some pictures of our science experiment today:

Thank you! Have a delightful week! Ms Hatch
